Schools And Community Groups Benefit From Donation Of Refurbished Computers By Republic Bank

St. George’s, Grenada; November 29, 2022: Three community groups, along with the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information are the recipients of 60 refurbished computers, through the generosity of Republic Bank.

The donation follows the conversion of the Bank’s recently acquired branches to the RFHL suite of technology platforms earlier this year. Twelve primary schools will share 50 units, while the Beaton, Laura, La Femme, Baillies Bacolet Community Development Organization received eight units. The St. Paul’s Sports, Cultural & Development Organization and the Grenada Cadet Corps - 2 Lt. Unit Commander, Anglican High School, received one unit each.

Each unit includes one Lenovo desktop monitor and hard drive, power cord, Windows 7 operating system, keyboard and mouse.

Mr. Sherman Douglas, Manager, Information Technology at Republic Bank made the presentation to representatives of the various groups at Bank’s head office on Maurice Bishop Highway on Friday, November 25, 2022. He commended the groups for their dedication to ensuring that as many persons as possible have online and computer access, which are a necessity to thrive in today’s world.

Each recipient expressed gratitude for the gesture and pledged to make full use of the equipment. Republic Bank is pleased to support youth and community development, through education.
