Republic Bank Helping To Revitalize The Carriacou Regatta Festival

St. George's, Grenada; July 29, 2026: Republic Bank is proud to reaffirm its longstanding commitment to the Carriacou Regatta Festival, by providing financial support for the 2026 event and marking more than 40 years of funding for one of Grenada's most cherished cultural traditions.

This year's festival, scheduled for July 31st to August 2nd on the sister isle, holds special significance, as it is the first to be staged since Hurricane Beryl devastated Carriacou and Petit Martinique in July 2024. The event symbolizes the resilience, determination, and enduring spirit of the residents.

As the Bank continues its sponsorship of the Large Deck Sloop racing category, Republic Bank recognizes the Regatta Festival as much more than a sporting event. It celebrates Carriacou's unique heritage of traditional boat building and sailing – customs that remain deeply woven into the island's identity – while generating vital economic activity for residents through tourism, commerce, and cultural exchange.
