Republic Bank Announces Its 2022 Scholarship Recipient

St. George’s, Grenada; November 29, 2022: In keeping with Republic Bank’s ongoing commitment to youth and educational development, the Bank has awarded yet another Scholarship to one student pursuing educational advancement at the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus), Barbados.

Terisha Gilbert of Samaritan, St. Patrick, a graduate of the St. Mark’s Secondary School, is the proud recipient of the Bank’s 2022-2024 Scholarship. The scholarship award is $60,000.00 (SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS) for three years, and will assist Terisha with her tuition and living expenses, while in Barbados. She is registered full time at the Faculty of Science, where she is pursing studies leading to the award of the B.Sc Economics degree.

Republic Bank is pleased to be associated with the enhancement of educational skills through its sponsorship of students who are doing themselves and their country very proud. Ms. Mavis Mc Burnie, Acting General Manager – Operations at the Bank commended Terisha on her commitment to higher learning and encouraged her to continue to do her best.

The Republic Bank scholarship is available to Grenadian nationals pursuing studies at the Bachelor’s level with any of the main campuses of the University of The West Indies. The scholarship is awarded based on academic record and financial need. The areas of study covered are: Business/Management Studies, Information Technology, Economics, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance and Accounting.
