Republic Bank’s Staff-Led Painting Project Benefits Students Of Dover Government School

St. George’s, Grenada; August 20, 2025: In a heartfelt show of community support and solidarity, Republic Bank’s Carriacou staff proudly showed up on August 16 to paint classrooms at the Dover Government School, which was completely destroyed during the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

Since the passage of the storm, students were being taught under a temporary tented structure. Although the Government of Grenada recently constructed a wooden building to house the children, the structure remained unpainted—until now. The initiative allowed for meaningful interaction among students, parents, teachers, and community members, reinforcing the power of collective action and compassion.

“We believe that every child deserves a beautiful, safe space to learn and grow; and we’re proud to stand with the families and teachers at Dover Government School as they enhance their environment,” shared Michelle Noel, Officer-in-Charge of the Carriacou branch.

Acting Principal Mrs. Melissa Mc Farlane-Collins of Dover Government School expressed her gratitude for the initiative: “The support from Republic Bank is truly appreciated. It tells our children they are seen, valued, and not alone.”

Republic Bank remains dedicated to uplifting communities in times of need, demonstrating that meaningful impact begins with compassion, action, and a shared sense of purpose.
